WE'RE NOT WHO YOU THINK WE ARE.(CAPITAL REGION)

I don't drink. Alcohol, that is. I'm one of ``those'' people. You know, the kind who orders a Shirley Temple when everyone else orders beer. It's not that I can't drink -- I'm 23 years old and I hang out with plenty of people who proudly label themselves lushes.

It's just that I'd rather not.

Now, what's your immediate impression of me? A bookworm, recluse, a preachy goody-goody? Or maybe a religious devotee who is forbidden to consume alcohol?

Think again. Not everybody who chooses not to drink is an Urkel equivalent.

There's Mike, for example. The 21-year-old Schenectady resident likes to skateboard in his free time. Bill, a junior at RPI, plays pool and attends hockey games.
