Your article on the state's Irish famine curriculum (``An Irish history lesson goes untaught'' by Jacquelyn Swearingen, March 17) was misleading. Rather than advocating a particular point of view, the curriculum was specifically designed to meet state and national standards that require students to examine primary source documents and draw their own conclusions.
