QLD: Intruder report leads to drug bust

BRISBANE, Feb 17 AAP - Police responding to a report of an intruder failed to find
one, but then stumbled across a man allegedly in possession of a variety of drugs.

A report of a person climbing over a fence in the Brisbane suburb of Hamilton at around
4pm (AEST) on Monday had officers checking a possible break-and-enter.

Instead, when they checked inside the premises they found the resident allegedly with
a selection of drugs, drug utensils, money and a weapon.

A 33-year-old Hamilton man was charged with one count of produce dangerous drugs, three
counts of possess dangerous drugs, one count of fail to dispose, one count of possess
utensils, one count of possess proceeds and possession of a weapon.

He will face Brisbane Magistrate's Court today.
